“Absolutely loved my trip and could not fault it and Michael was absolutely amazing. He took over my camera, so it turned out to be our camera!! Beautiful photos. Have got about 500 of them. Being a very basic photographer and having a new camera I kindly handed it over to him quite happily.
I think I loved the Namib Desert the most – the sand dunes and their history was extraordinary. Their colour and sculptures out of this world.
Then off to the sea and Swakopmund and some cool fresh air. Good to have two nights there.
Loved Camp Kipwe – Michaels favourite. Mine was Tree tops.
The mountains were also incredible and of course the wild life.
Had a very naughty baby elephant playing with our aerial – they were the “desert elephants”. Finally found about 12 of them. Rosie with the one tusk being their leader. She was very relaxed with us.
It was so good being met at the actual plane at the Johannesburg airport, after such a long flight and then taken to 54 on Bath. A very welcoming hotel. I was a little tired and slept through both dinner times. However was not at all hungry.
Soweto surprised me. Not at all like we see on the television. Alot of very nice houses and gardens. Was interesting to see that Winnie Mandella lives there.
The only thing that we thought that it would have been better if it had been two weeks and not ten days. Nine hours bouncing along in the bus was a little hard on the hips!! Other than that perfectly organised and everything went like clock work. Thanks to you all.” Carolyn
